Solicitor – Hokitika Office
Parry Field Lawyers

Our People

At Parry Field Lawyers, we’re proud to be a mid-size firm with strong roots in Canterbury. With offices in Christchurch CBD, Riccarton, Rolleston, and Hokitika, we offer our team the chance to grow in a collaborative and supportive environment.

We’re passionate about developing great lawyers – people who think critically, communicate clearly, and solve problems creatively and pragmatically. We also know how to have fun together, with regular social catchups and a down-to-earth culture.

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Solicitor who enjoys Property and Commercial law to join our team in Hokitika – now based in beautiful new office premises. This is not just a job; it’s a lifestyle opportunity to live and work on the stunning West Coast, while remaining closely connected to our wider Christchurch team.

We offer flexibility, genuine career progression, and the work-life balance that comes with being part of a close-knit community and firm.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ideally 2+ years’ post-qualification experience in New Zealand (though we’re open to considering enthusiastic juniors or graduates ready for a challenge)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, common sense, and a proactive attitude
  • A genuine interest in people and the ability to build strong client relationships
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to teamwork
  • A desire to keep learning and growing as a legal professional

This is a great opportunity to join a firm where you’ll be supported, challenged, and valued – and where your contribution will make a real difference. At Parry Field Lawyers, we stand by our reputation of getting to the heart of what matters.
