Governance for Charities – Reviewing your Procedures

Helping registered charities meet their governance obligations

All registered charities are now required to review their governance procedures every three years and, for many, this will need to be confirmed by October 2026 in their annual return.

Governance procedures can include your rules, practices, policies and decision-making processes. We can help you review these documents and practices so they are:

  • legally up to date
  • fit for purpose
  • aligned with how your charity operates
  • helping to protect your entity and its officers.

Our experienced team can assist all charitable trusts, incorporated societies, and companies that have charitable status. Whether you need a focused review or more detailed support, we can tailor our approach to your circumstances.

Get in touch or register for our upcoming webinar below.

Governance: Board Play

It’s not often that we have the opportunity to observe other boards at work. We have provided a series of videos from the Christian Savings Conference 2024 to give you a behind the scenes look at a meeting of a (fictitious) board. Click here to watch the videos and see the key observations/ takeaways.

Join Steven Moe in conversation with leading directors in Aotearoa New Zealand. In each episode, Steven and his guest discuss their governance journey, what motivates them and their vision for the future of governance.
