This is a role unlike any other you’ll scroll through. Parry Field Lawyers are looking for a full-time Senior Solicitor with 4+ years PQE to join our fast-growing Impact team. Operating nationally, the team are the go-to advisors for purpose-driven entrepreneurs, start-ups, and charities of all types.
Our clients are at the leading edge of climate tech, education, SaaS, Iwi innovations, and more. Behind the scenes, we’ve helped to set up around 40 charities in the last year alone, while also supporting many start-ups with raising capital.
The Impact team can’t be put in a box, as we blur the lines of corporate work, start-ups, impact investing, and charity – often supporting hybrid organisations that seek our specialist advice where the impact drives the structures chosen.
We’ve grown to a team of 15 and now need you to join us in effecting societal change through legal services for our innovative clients. You’ll bring:
- A team-first attitude.
- Desire to help clients achieve their purpose.
- 4+ years PQE (preferably in corporate commercial / mergers and acquisitions).
- Willingness to learn diverse areas.
You’ll be based from reinvented, vibrant Christchurch, where house prices are half those in Auckland, but you’ll be working nationally (and often with international dimensions too).
We will provide relocation support for the right candidate willing to move from elsewhere in Aotearoa New Zealand to join our team in Ōtautahi.
You’ll work daily with our team leaders, including Partner, Steven Moe, who recently published “The Circle: Careers with Impact”, hosts Seeds podcast, has been nominated and won a variety of Legal Changemaker awards, and was the first chair of the APAC “Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers”, and Partner, Kris Morrison, who is a nationally recognised thought leader and speaker and on the board of the Charity Law Association of Australia and New Zealand, as well as Senior Associate, Yang Su, a leader in the tech scene supporting SaaS and other start-ups who has also worked as a lawyer in the US, Middle East, and China.
