Yang joined Parry Field in May 2022 and focusses on corporate and commercial matters. He regularly advises on fundraising, corporate structuring, acquisitions, service agreements and shareholder disputes. Yang also acts for a number of charities and social enterprises, assisting with constitutions, trust deeds, hybrid funding structures and charitable registration.

Yang grew up and studied in the United States and was accepted into the New York bar in 2010. He later worked in Shanghai, China and the Middle East as a project development and finance lawyer, both in private practice and in-house. In 2020, Yang moved with his family to settle down permanently in Christchurch. Yang is a member of NZ Asian Lawyers.

Outside of work, Yang enjoys running (slowly), watching sports and spending time with his family and friends.
