Michael joined Parry Field Lawyers as a Law Clerk at the beginning of 2021 and graduated from the University of Canterbury with an LLB and BA with a double major in Political Sciences and Media and Communications. During his studies he also spent a semester abroad at the University of Copenhagen.

Working mainly with Steven Moe in our commercial team, Michael assists impact driven clients such as charities, start-ups and businesses. He particularly enjoys helping client’s realise their vision to make positive change and operate in a socially conscious way.

Growing up in Ethiopia before migrating to Aotearoa, Michael speaks Amharic and English. Outside of work, when he’s not spending time with loved ones or busy cooking, you can find him exploring the different landscapes, live music and cuisines Otāutahi has to offer.
