To the heart of what matters
Parry Field Lawyers is a growing full-service law firm with offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Hokitika. With around 100 staff, we are focused on supporting our people to succeed in meaningful work while fostering a connected and people-focused team culture.
Our practice areas include commercial, disputes, charity, for-purpose, immigration and property, as well as supporting clients with succession planning, trusts and estates.
At Parry Field Lawyers you will be joining a supportive team with the opportunity for career progression. We are focused on the wellbeing and growth of our team while providing our clients with practical, people-centred advice that gets to the heart of what matters.
While our main hub is in Christchurch, our Auckland office continues to grow, and we are looking for a highly capable and adaptable Office Coordinator/Legal Assistant to become an integral part of our team. This is a varied role that combines office coordination, client service and legal administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and taking ownership of their work.
Initially, we envisage the role will be for 20 hours per week with view to growing into a full-time role as our Auckland-based staff numbers increase. This is an update of 01.07.2026 to our original advertisement.
No two days will be the same. You may be the sole point of contact in the office one day, and the next, you will be hosting clients and supporting a busy team of fee earners, both on-site and remotely across other locations.
While this is a key role in our Auckland office, you will be a member of our wider support staff team and be well supported with weekly staff meetings led by our Christchurch-based Office Manager.
Office Coordination: Maintain a tidy office environment, be the IT champion, arrange catering and welcome clients for document signings with genuine care and professionalism.
Administration: Tasks range from foundational duties such as scanning and electronic filing, through to drafting legal documents.
This role will ideally suit someone who is:
